Former MTV Star Olivia Palermo Is Engaged

Jan. 1, 2014 — -- Reality TV star Olivia Palermo is engaged.

The former "The City" star, 27, and Johannes Huebl, a German model, got engaged while on vacation, he announced on Instagram.

"Happy New Year to everybody and this is how we celebrate it: OP said Y E S," he wrote.

The couple met more than three years ago through mutual friends, she told Elle magazine in 2010.

"I think we have a very conservative connection. A very old romantic, private approach to our love," added Huebl. "We keep our private life as private as possible."
