Naya Rivera and Big Sean No Longer Engaged

April 9, 2014 -- Naya Rivera and Big Sean have called off their engagement.

A publicist for the rapper, 26, released a statement to Us Weekly, confirming the couple's split.

"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," the statement read. "Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."

Attempts to reach a rep for the "Glee" actress, 27, were unsuccessful.

The couple announced their engagement last October, after just a few months of dating.

"He's so kind to people but also wears the pants in our relationship, which I love," she told Cosmopolitan for Latinas earlier this year. "We Latinas are very independent and strong, so it's even sweeter that I've found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute."
