NBA Finals 2016: Ayesha Curry on Watching Steph Play and Her New Shoe Collaboration
Curry opens up about the emotional roller coaster and her new shoe line.
— -- With 73 wins in the regular season, the most all time, and now a 2-0 lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals, Stephen Curry and company are poised to cement their place in basketball history.
Standing alongside the Golden State Warriors star is his wife and trailblazer in her own right, Ayesha Curry, who isn't making any predictions just yet.
"Well, you never know how these things turn out," she told ABC News. "All I do know is that I see firsthand how hard he works and that he somehow manages to remain the same person I started dating eight years ago. Humble, hardworking and absolutely hilarious."
In fact, Ayesha admits that while she's not the biggest sports fan, she is obviously her husband's No. 1 supporter. That's never been more evident than with Game 3 tonight in Cleveland.
"You can't help but feel something when you watch him and the Warriors play," she added. "They evoke emotion out of people from children to grannies. That's special. I feel like all of the little characters from the movie 'Inside Out' when I watch. I'm so emotional about my DUBS."
Ayesha spoke to ABC News about her growing brand and craft. The mother of two adorable children, Riley and Ryan, has partnered with Freshly Picked to create a special edition line of baby moccasins.
The line is the latest in projects Curry has put her trademark stamp and style on. From her blog to her own cookbook to viral videos, Curry is quickly becoming a household name when it comes to lifestyle trends.
Freshly Picked spotted Curry's talent early on.
"I connected with [them] when Riley was just a baby," she said. Riley, Ayesha and Stephen's oldest daughter and an internet star is her own right, was born in the summer of 2012. "I just started my blog and Susan and her company were the first people to take notice and build a rapport with me. We hit it off instantly ... This collaboration is the first time I get to design footwear for children and couldn’t be more thrilled to be doing it with Susan and Freshly Picked. What makes this so special is that collection was inspired by my daughters."
The one thing Ayesha is above all else is grounded. While other offers may come in to design clothing lines, she wants to stay focused on her original passions, which she says are "family and building my brand in the culinary world."
When it comes to family, Riley obviously comes to mind. After capturing the nation's attention at last year's NBA Finals, Riley is in high demand, and her smiling face can be seen in the "Next Step" section of Freshly Picked.
But Ayesha is careful not to give the 3-year-old more than she can handle in the public spotlight.
"Riley is aware that her daddy plays basketball and that I cook, but I don't think she's aware of what that means," Ayesha said. "I'd like to keep it that way for as long as possible but we have two sassy, brilliant little girls on our hands. I'm bracing myself for the day they realize."
