Neil Patrick Harris Says Straight Girls 'Still Want to Marry Me'
The actor says women don't care that he's gay.
March 12, 2014 — -- No one would ever call Neil Patrick Harris homophobic ... well, except maybe himself.
The "How I Met Your Mother" actor, who is gay, is returning to Broadway in the rock musical "Hedwig and the Angry Inch."
In the musical, Harris a transgender glam rock singer from East Germany.
"Hedwig is bringing up a lot of super insecure things within me," Harris told Out magazine. "I have never thought drag was intoxicating, I've never had a fun drunken Halloween in drag, never been in heels, really."

In addition, Harris who has two kids -- Gideon and Harper with fiance David Burtka -- said women could care less that he's gay.
"I've found that a lot of girls have no issue with me being gay," he said. "They still want to marry me. And I love that."
He added, "I've lived my whole life being attracted by masculinity -- it's why I like guys. I'm not a super effete person, and I have to turn into that, and in doing so it brings up a lot of homophobic insecurities within myself."
