Peter Krause Dishes on 'The Catch,' Watching Girlfriend Lauren Graham on TV
The actor stars in the new Shonda Rhimes-led ABC drama.
— -- Peter Krause says his role in the new Shonda Rhimes-led ABC drama, "The Catch," is one completely different from his famous role as Adam Braverman on "Parenthood."
"This is not necessarily wholesome entertainment to watch with your kids," Krause said today on "Good Morning America." "I spent a lot more time with my clothes off than I thought I would, but I wanted to do something very different from ‘Parenthood’ and this certainly is."
Krause stars in "The Catch" as Ben, an elite con man up against Los Angeles' top private investigator, who just happens to be his fiancee.
"It’s sort of an epic romance in the center of the show," Krause said. "Really, it’s two shows smashed together. You’ve got the investigative unit [and] then you’ve got the group of con artists and they overlap because of the relationship between Alice and Ben."
Off-screen, Krause, the father of a 14-year-old son, is the longtime partner of his "Parenthood" co-star Lauren Graham. Krause said he used the flight from Los Angeles to New York City this week to catch up on Graham's other hit TV show, "Gilmore Girls."
"We keep things pretty private [but] I will say that on my flight here from L.A. I was happy to see on DirectTV that they were playing ‘Gilmore Girls,’ so I actually sat on the plane, watching ‘Gilmore Girls’ on my way," Krause said. "People are crazy for that show."
"The Catch" premieres Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
