— -- On Thursday's episode of "Scandal," Rowan Pope immediately went to visit his daughter, Olivia, after she helped him escape from jail.

"I'm being hunted. I am out. My sons have turned against me," he told Liv. "Be afraid because I am afraid."

Then he eerily warned Olivia, "In the end I did my best for you."

Is Rowan -- err, Eli -- foreshadowing his own death?

Back at the White House, Jake Ballard was summoned to the White House, but it wasn't by President Fitzgerald Grant. Instead, he was asked to come by Fitz's mistress turned girlfriend. And when Jake was rude to Liv, even threatening to kill her father, Liv was shocked.

Jake replied, "What do you think, I was gonna come here and spoon you?"

Then the president awkwardly walked in on the two ex-lovers fighting.

Later, Jake asked Huck to help kill Liv's dad. Huck said no, adding, "From here on out you're on your own."

Meanwhile, disgruntled Chief of Staff Cyrus Beene convinced Attorney General David Rosen to investigate who helped Rowan escape. He eventually told Cyrus that his investigators discovered Liv helped him.

Cyrus couldn't believe it, but he was extremely happy at the thought of getting Olivia out of the Oval Office.

The FBI then went to arrest Olivia. "You're arresting me? On what grounds?" Liv demanded.

The agent replied, "Aiding the escape of a prisoner." Boom!

After a commercial break, we saw Fitz storm into the jail where Liv was holed up. And although we couldn't tell what she told him, it appeared that Fitz had fallen more in love with Olivia after she shared a secret about her father with him.

Cyrus couldn't believe Fitz wasn't more upset about the entire incident. But he told Cyrus, "I forgave you didn't I?" So true!

Fitz, who seemed more smitten than ever, then moved Liv in with him ... into the White House. "I had all your clothes packed up and moved over. Because you live here now. This is your home," he told her.

The last scene happened across town when we saw Huck had found Rowan. Fans will find out what happened next when "Scandal" returns Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
