Shia LaBeouf Details the Boozy Afternoon Leading Up to His Arrest
The actor watched a World Cup game, took in a show -- and drank a ton.
— -- Shia LaBeouf was arrested in June for causing a disturbance at a Broadway production of "Cabaret."
However, the actor told Jimmy Kimmel on Monday that going to the show was a last-minute decision after a dancer in the show offered him tickets following an afternoon of drinking while watching the World Cup.
"He says, 'Hey, what are you doing tonight?' I was like, 'Well, I'm looking to turn it up a bit! I'm trying to have a good night here,'" he recalled. "'I just got to New York. I'm trying to have a good time!'"
Needless to say, more drinks followed, as did a cigarette. At one point, he said, he even grabbed Allen Cumming.
"It could've been Allen Iverson at this point, I didn't know who it was," he said. "He walks past me, and I give him a slap on the ass because i think he deserves it and he's seducing me. He's the sexiest man I've ever seen!"
Soon after, LaBeouf said he was arrested and taken to the station, where more drama ensued. Ultimately, after 25 hours in solitary confinement, he said the cops gave him a McDonalds egg sandwich and sent him on his way.
Now, "I'm checking [my drinking]," he said. "[And] I'm gonna stay from Broadway for a little bit."
