— -- Two rappers, Snoop Dogg and The Game, led a peaceful march in Los Angeles to the headquarters of the Los Angeles Police Department, where new recruits were just about to graduate.

More than 100 people joined the Los Angeles natives today in what they described as "Operation H.U.N.T.," which stands for "Hunt Us Not Today" and "Hate Us Not Today." They came after The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, put out a call out on his social media networks early Friday morning.

"We need to look each other in the eye and start a relationship," The Game told ABC News at the protest.

In a video posted today by Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, the rapper explained the reason for marching to LAPD headquarters.

He said the goal for the demonstration was to have "some dialogue [and] some understanding with the new recruits before they hit the streets so that way they know that we['re] just like them and we're trying to live go home and get some understanding."

Several officers greeted protesters and LAPD Police Chief Charlie Beck took it a step further and invited both Snoop and The Game to the ceremony to meet the new recruits.

The Game -- who has been arrested several times by police -- told ABC News that today was the first time he's had a positive interaction with an officer.

The march comes after last night's shooting in Dallas that left five officers dead and seven more injured. It also comes after two police-involved shootings that killed black men, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.
