April 17 -- Apparently, there is life after Julia Roberts: Her former boyfriend Benjamin Bratt got hitched on Saturday.

Bratt, 38, married his 35-year-old Pinero co-star Talisa Soto at an intimate family gathering in his hometown of San Francisco. This is Bratt's first marriage. He and Roberts broke up last May after nearly four years, reportedly because she wouldn't walk down the aisle. Bratt Hesitant to Talk About the Past

A few months before Bratt and Roberts broke up last year, Roberts acknowledged him at an awards ceremony in New York as "the person who's held my hand and held me up."But Bratt has been hesitant to talk about the relationship. "I feel strongly that no matter what your vocation is, whether you're a street sweeper or an actor or the president of the United States, that you have a right to privacy," he told ABCNEWS Radio, while publicizing Pinero."Privacy shouldn't be determined on some kind of sliding scale depending on what your profession is. But I get it, you know, I certainly understand it and I like any other human being, on some level [I enjoy] a little jucy tidbit of gossip. But that's it. I remain protective of my non-professional life."

Bratt and Soto starred in a film about Miguel Pinero, a Puerto Rican poet-playwright who died of cirrhosis in 1988. ABCNEWS Radio and Buck Wolf contributed to this report.
