April 19 -- When actress Liv Tyler announced her engagement last month, she cemented her connection to rock and roll. When she walks down the aisle at her wedding, she will be accompanied by her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame father, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, who will surrender her to the groom Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon.

Though they're both rockers and singers she says her future husband and her father have some key differences.

"Roy's not the most he loves clothes and stuff, but I usually just buy [clothes for him]. He likes everything I buy," she explains. "He's not a big materialistic person. My dad, on the other hand, really likes to shop."

Not that she agrees with all of her father's fashion decisions: "I love my dad, although I'm definitely critical of him sometimes, like when his pants are too tight. But I love him so much and I try to be really supportive of him."

From Langdon's band's perspective, the celebrity engagement has taken some getting used to.

"It's very difficult to deal with, just the press aspect of it," explains Langdon's bandmate and older brother, Antony who was once in a celebrity relationship with model Kate Moss. "Especially for Roy, because he's kind of the underdog in the situation since she's more famous than he is. They'll go out for a Coke or something, and everybody will take pictures of them, of Liv and her guy from this band Spacehog. And people will take this attitude that Spacehog is not really a band but just a bunch of guys and their famous girlfriends which may be true, but I still think we're a pretty good band."

Spacehog will join other brother-based bands Oasis and The Black Crowes as the opening act on this summer's Brotherly Love Tour. The band's latest album, The Hogyssey, was released earlier this month.
