'Survivor' Kelly Pleads Guilty to Fraud Charges

Jan. 30 -- As CBS turns up the heat for the second installment of the tribal game show Survivor, the show's first contestants struggle to stay in the limelight.

Cameras zoomed in on Survivor winner Richard Hatch at Sunday's Super Bowl game, while a bejeweled Jenna Lewis paraded on the red carpet at this month's People's Choice Awards. And at around the same time that Gervase Peterson was making the scene at last week's Sundance Film Festival, his former fellow contestant Kelly Wiglesworth was in a decidedly less cool place: court.

Wiglesworth, who had a warrant out for her arrest in North Carolina, pleaded guilty Friday to the misdemeanor offense of conspiring to commit credit card fraud. According to USA Today, the Nevada-based river guide — who won $100,000 as Survivor's runner-up — will pay $455 in restitution fines and perform 75 hours of community service.

In return, Wiglesworth will have her record purged of felony charges stemming from a 1995 incident during which she and a friend dined and shopped on a stolen credit card for two days. The alleged spree included a $37 pasta dinner at the Olive Garden in Greensboro, N.C.
