Lindsay Lohan Has Appendectomy

Singer Treated as Precaution After Tests

Lindsay Lohan is in a hospital for an appendectomy after complaining that she wasn't feeling well.

"She is having her appendix removed," Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lohan's publicist, told ABCNEWS.com. "That's all I will confirm."

Zelnik would not say at what hospital Lohan was being treated, nor if she expected the actress and singer to miss any commitments.

Doctors asked Lohan to return to the hospital today to perform the appendectomy as a precaution after being tested yesterday, according to TMZ.com. The celebrity Web site reports that Lohan is resting comfortably.

Last week, the 20-year-old was in New York City, where she was pictured partying with exotic dancers. The "Mean Girls" star has embarked on pole-dancing lessons to prepare for a role in the upcoming film "I Know Who Killed Me."
