— -- Taylor Swift has little time to date as she prepares for the release later this month of her new album, "1989," as well as an upcoming tour.

That's fine by her.

"Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind," she told Vogue U.K. "I can't picture how it could work with the way my life is."

Swift, 24, has sung about past relationships and ex-boyfriends who have been less than perfect. But she said she's the one avoiding men these days, largely because she's unconvinced they can handle the trappings that come with her celebrity.

"I don't know how a guy is supposed to walk next to his girlfriend when there are 20 men with cameras, and he can't protect his girlfriend because that's the life she chose," she said. "I just don't see how it could work, so I don't think about it, and I kind of run from it when it presents itself."
