ABC News' Senior Health and Medical Editor, Dr. Richard Besser, has three easy ways for you to get vitamin D. (CLICK HERE to watch.)
1. The easiest way to get vitamin D is sun exposure. The sun is your friend, just don't spend too much time in it. You should get anywhere from five to 30 minutes of sun exposure twice a week.
2. Get vitamin D from your favorite foods such as fish, eggs, fortified milk or orange juice. Just check the carton to make sure your milk and juice are fortified.
3. In addition to sun exposure and your diet, you can also get vitamin D through a supplement, Besser said.
