April 10, 2007 — -- One of the biggest stars in Hollywood now has a star of her own.

Last week Halle Berry -- the first African-American to win a best actress Oscar -- got her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now, she's starring opposite Bruce Willis in the new thriller "Perfect Stranger."

Berry stopped by "Good Morning America" to talk about the movie and her next challenge -- going bald.

In "Perfect Stranger," Berry plays a journalist who goes undercover after the murder of her best friend. The actress said playing a woman tasked with concealing her identity was a challenge.

"That was a new challenge for me, besides working with James Foley, it was to play a character who plays a character, within a character in a movie," she said.

Willis plays a wealthy and dangerous advertising tycoon. Berry said that working with the action star was a pleasure.

"He just exudes coolness. Talk about charm and charisma," she said. "He's an everyday good guy and that's his persona."

Offscreen, Berry's enjoying life with her new boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry. At the age of 40, she said she's more comfortable now than she has ever been before.

"It just arrives, the feeling of being comfortable," she said. "Having lived long enough to have the right to be who I am and make no excuses for who that person is, or who that person is not. I'm perfectly comfortable with myself."

While Berry's devoted to her work, she said she's ready to have a family.

"I've spent 20 years putting my career first, working hard, achieving goals," she said. "Now it's about having a deeper meaning of life, a better reason to wake up in the morning. I love work, I'll never stop working. But I need more."

Before settling down, Berry will take on a daring role, playing a woman who shaves her head to embrace her inner beauty.

"The reason this movie is so important, as a woman -- all the women relate -- we define ourselves by our hair. When our hair is not right, somehow we're not right," she said. "My character in a movie has an unfortunate event happen and she is forced to shave her head bald. Now she has to approach life as a bald-headed person and discover who she is."
