Legendary Band Performs on 'GMA' This Friday

International mega band U2 makes history this Friday when it performs at 8 a.m. on ABC's "Good Morning America," making its first-ever live performance on a morning show.

Please note no public tickets are available to this show. Per the band, the performance is open only to students at a private university in New York City.

The group's performance coincides with the release of its highly anticipated new album, "No Line on the Horizon," which hits stores Tuesday March 3.

The record is the 12th studio release from the Irish rockers, who have been together for more than 30 years. The album's first single, "Get On Your Boots" was broadcast on radio stations in Ireland this week and is currently available on U2's Web site.

"No Line on the Horizon" follows U2's highly successfully 2004 album, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb."

The commercially successful and critically acclaimed musicians hit the big-time in the 1980s and have remained an integral part of the pop culture and music scenes ever since.
