5 Lazy Fall Weekend Comfort Foods

As the days get shorter and nights cooler, we've collected some of our favorite fall recipes that you can enjoy at home. Cozy up on the couch, throw on your wool sweater, and chow down on some of these comforting fall favorites.

Macaroni and cheese is a comfort food classic. Try adding in some extra ingredients to make the recipe your own. (Bacon, tomatoes or red pepper?) You can also experiment by using your favorite cheeses, such as gruyere or swiss. Add a protein like chicken or steak to turn this side dish into a main course.

Nothing warms you up more than a hot bowl of soup. Add seasonal vegetables like butternut squash or kale for extra health benefits. Serve with warm bread and a salad for an easy fall meal or pour into a thermos when you're on the go.
