While this Passover menu nods to the traditional foods we've come to expect and uses the flavors represented on the Seder plate, it approaches this special meal with an updated elegance.

Passover is meant to be a remembrance of hard times and oppression, but it is also a celebration of nature's bounty, freedom and new beginnings. This menu also makes Passover or any holiday meal a celebration of great food!

A symbolic Passover dish, this recipe is best enjoyed 1 to 2 hours after it is made. Serve with matzoh or in an endive leaf as an appetizer.

This recipe allows for vegetable broth if you have guests who are vegetarians. Simmer the broth while the dumplings are cooking.

You have to try this delicious lamb braised with horseradish and garlic. Drizzle the mint pistou, similar to pesto, on top of the finished lamb.

Carrots, turnips, parsnips and squash taste fantastic with the dried fruit and honey. Roast them as a fantastic complement to the braised lamb.

This is another fantastic side dish to be served with the lamb. Cut the kugel into squares and serve hot out of the oven next to the brisket.

This dish needs plenty of time to cook, so plan ahead! Brining the turkey takes 2 to 3 hours and braising takes about 2 1/2 hours.

This light and airy dessert is the perfect finishing touch to the meal. Make sure you save room for dessert, this is a dessert you don't want to miss.
