Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney to Appear on 'Good Morning America'
Watch "GMA" Thursday for the latest on "The Bachelor" and his girlfriend.
July 1, 2009— -- "The Bachelor" star Jason Mesnick and girlfriend Molly Malaney will appear on "Good Morning America" Thursday.
Nearly five months after Mesnick reunited with the woman who was initially his second choice, the couple will update viewers on their relationship and the latest news in their lives.
Mesnick and Malaney, a department store buyer, were recently spotted on vacation together in the Turks and Caicos islands with Mesnick's son.
Melissa Rycroft, whom Mesnick proposed to on "The Bachelor" but broke up with on the "After the Final Rose" special, announced this week that she is engaged to boyfriend Ty Strickland.
"Bachelor" viewers were shocked when Mesnick told Rycroft the two weren't right for each other.
He then said he was still in love with Malaney, whom he hadn't been in contact with since the show finished taping.
"This is something I dreamt of but never expected to hear," a stunned Malaney said on the show. "To hear you say this, of course, I'm so excited about it. There's a piece of me that's confused.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't glad this happened," she added.
Mesnick was criticized for his decision at the time, but said he had to follow his heart. Rycroft, 26, went on to appear on "Dancing With the Stars" and is currently a special contributor for "Good Morning America."
"Everything works out the way it should," she said, when announcing her engagement.
