The suburban soccer mother accused of running a multimillion-dollar marijuana operation, from a new york city warehouse. She appeared in federal court on monday. And abc's gio benitez was there. Reporter: Good morning. Prosecutors say this mother of three is no different than a colombian drug lord. Now, after a month in the slammer, she's out on bail. But watch, there's a catch. Escorted by her lawyer and an unidentified man, andrea sanderlin leaves jail in a mercedes suv. The bond, $500,000. She'll have to wear an electronic monitor, keeping her close to home. The new york mother has been dubbed the pot mom. Seen here in her high school yearbook photo. Sanderlin was arrested in may, after authorities raided a new york city warehouse, allegedly finding $3 million worth of pot, including close to 3,000 plants. She's pleaded not guilty. Sanderlin was living in this stunning mansion. And a lot like that dope-peddling mother in the hit tv show "weeds." You're a drug-dealing mommy, I expect 10 grand on the first of every month. Reporter: Abc news learned that sanderlin was paying big bucks in rent. Between $11,000 and $12,000 a month in cash. Four of her acquaintances signed the bond for her bail. The judge worried they hardly knew sanderlin. He has not modified the condition of her lease, requiring people who know her to also sign for this bond sohat there would be more of an incentive for the defendant to show up. Reporter: So, to stay out of jail, sanderlin's father, stepmother and mother-in-law must sign the bond by wednesday. The problem is, she's reportedly been estranged from her father for years. Now that the defendant's released, she has every incentive in the world to find family or friends because the one thing she doesn't want to do is go back to jail. Reporter: And talking about that tv show, "weeds," her attorney says, quote, this is not life imstaitating art. And while her trial should start soon, she's already negotiating a plea deal, lara.
