More than a thousand fire fighters on the scene, and Clayton Sandell is there this morning. Good morning. Reporter: Good morning. They have the roads blocked to some of the neighborhoods threatened by flames. It's only 10% contained, they had helicopters trying to take advantage of the cooler temperatures to knock the fire down. This morning, planes and choppers are keeping up an all-out aerial assault, on a wildfire chewing through 2,000 acres of parched brush on Friday. Spreads so far over, you could see the flames. Reporter: Threatening 1,000 homes. Lori Ashley saw the flames racing over the ridge towards her house. She and the dogs are packed and ready to run. How terrifying to watch it come right over the ridge there? I don't like it one bit. Reporter: In all, 500 homes evacuated. A sky crane helicopter, dropping thousands of gallons of water at once. Fire fighters are battling the blaze, some posting instagram pictures from the scorching front lines. Dry conditions remain.
