Those wildfires in colorado raging out of control. The flames torching hundreds of homes now. They sent tens of thousands of people racing from the danger zone to safety, wherever they can find it. And abc's clayton sandell is there, on the front lines, in colorado springs, colorado. Good morning, clayton. r: GOOD MORNING, JOSH. Overnight, this entire neighborhood was told to evacuate. 38,000 people are now out of their homes. And now, everyone's worst fear about this fire has come true. This morning, the monster wildfire that's already claimed so many homes is now a killer. The worst-case scenario that we could imagine. Reporter: The remains of two people, found in the rubble of a garage. They were apparently overrun by flames, churning at full tilt. They were packing their personal belongings, trying to get out. Reporter: The black forest wildfire is now colorado's most destructive ever. Overnight, we went to the front lines. You can see in this area, lots of active flame. And there are houses just beyond those trees. At least 360 homes here, burned to their foundations. Cars left behind, melted. Firefighters, knocked down flames before they could reach the front door of this mansion. The homes range from a lag CABIN BUILT IN THE '50s TO MAYBE Even $2 million mansion in certain neighborhoods. Reporter: Firefighters saved many of them. But patty's dream home is gone. You look at stuff and it's like your whole life is flashing forward. And you're never going to have that again. Reporter: And because of the two people who died, this is now a criminal investigation. The sheriff says he wants to know if this fire was deliberately set.
