video, we have video that may have you thinking twice when you cross a bridge. A woman dangling from the bridge. Abc's gio benitez is here with more. Reporter: It wasn't just any bridge, a railroad bridge constantly used by trains, people aren't supposed to be on the tracks but this woman, oh, she was. Right there. 123w4r hold on. Reporter: Holding on for dear life. Oh, my gosh, she's stuck up there. Reporter: A 55-year-old woman with nowhere to go, with her arms and legs pressed against the railroad's drawbridge. Police say that the woman was taking part in a saturday morning walk for cancer in ft. Lauderdale, florida. Somehow, she ended up on this railroad bridge. The bridge controlled remotely in tallahassee began to rise to its upright position, leaving the surprising nimble woman. I would have been flipping out. Reporter: The woman was holding on to that bridge 22 feet above the railroad tracks below, never letting go of her purse. It depends on what's in the purse. Reporter: Firefighters rushing to help her, putting up a 24-foot ladder. 20 minutes later, the rescue. And back on solid ground. And so good news there. But, to highlight how dangerous this was, just three years ago, a college student walking to a party was caught on that very same bridge as it started to rise, he fell into the water and he died. In that case, that woman held on and appears to be unhurt. Good news for her. She's lucky. Thank you, gio.
