♪ rejoice, "Grey's anatomy" fans have been waiting for months and this Thursday, the doctors are in again, the hit ABC series returns with a midseason premiere episode. We're going to talk with Chandra Wilson about that. You know she plays Dr. Miranda Bailey. She's here but first she brought with her a sneak peek. See, this was supposed to be different than my first marriage. I thought you understood what it means to be a surgeon until you dropped it and now you're here and once again married to a man who's waiting to see me at the end of the day. Waiting to see what I'm going to do. When I'm going to come home. You think I was happy to walk away from a surgical residency? But we are happy to have Chandra here with us this morning. Every time I see you on screen in your character, oh, my goodness. I mean, you just -- We're starting it right back with a bang. You know what I mean. We're picking up where we left off but Bailey's got some issues. I've got some gripes. OCD -- A little OCD, yeah. Your new husband. Right, well, he's back in town and, you know, the arrangement that I agreed to was it was kind of a commuter situation. Sure. Now he wants to be back at home. That's messing me up a little bit. We can see that. That's throwing me off balance. I cannot believe this is the tenth year. Yeah. Yeah. What do you think it is about this series that just keeps us -- Well, first of all we have absolutely amazing fan tass are so loyal and, you know, they stay with us and they ride with the story lines. You know, music is still a really strong force in our shows that further the plot and we really stay with what we originated with, we're very character driven so even though we're here in this hospital and it's -- there's all the great medical, it's -- you're invested in what happens to these people. These characters that you have, the majority have stayed together. Absolutely. Have six -- you are one of six original members still on the show. Is there kind of like a family relationship? Are you cousin, brothers, sisters. Cousin is good. Brothers, you have to love then. Your cousins, you can deal with them, hang out at Thanksgiving. People go back home, it's no big deal but when we come together as a family we come together and we make really cool TV. Well, it works. It certainly works and you are a working woman. You are so busy. I hear that you're going to have a guest role on "General hospital." Oh, I did. I did it in January and that was like kind of like the ultimate fan favorite moment. I got to work with roger who I've been a fan of his since "One life to live" so that was just a hoot. They share a lot with us, "Grey's anatomy" and "General hospital" and, you know, I barely ever speak to the soap actors because they're supposed to be in "Poor Charles." I got a chance to go across that line and play with them. I love that you're a soap fan like the rest of us and working with Halle berry. Oh. Phylicia Rashad. "Frankie and Alice" finally released at the theaters April 4th. Haley was nominated for the golden globe two years ago, a powerful film about ultimately about mental illness and how a family finds out about it, Halle is my sister. Felicia is my mom. I get to be a "Cosby" kid. I'm excited for it to hit the theaters. She's been working hard to get that movie out. You have too and just a delight to have you here. I know it's OCD that your character is dealing with. But I like ocdc. I think it worked. You have a home here any time. So thank you for sharing yourself. You're so active in doing so many things in the community. Yes. Just really certainly appreciate all that you did. I appreciate you too. You know I do.
