Inspired by Disney's summer of service campaign, yesterday Lara told us all about the robin hood foundation lemonade stands to help new yorkers in need. Today I'm excited to highlight an organization that's very close to 345i heart. The St. Jude's children's research hospital that helps out kids bravely battling childhood diseases. ? Ow! Reporter: There's nothing that brightens my day quite like the smile of a St. Jude's superstar. What's so funny? Reporter: It's a place that means so much to me. Ah! A beacon of hope for some of the strongest kis I've ever known. A child diagnosed with a dangerous disease, it's any family's nightmare but the heroes of St. Jude re are ready for battle standing side by side each step of the way. St. Jude children's research hospital is a specialty hospital. It's the place which doctors send some of their most difficult patients because we have the highest survival rates for some of the most difficult cancers. Reporter: Their mission, families will never pay for treatment, travel, housing or food. The important thing is we want that family to focus on getting that child better. That's why we take care of everything here. Volunteers and supporters literally operate St. Jude children's research hospital. It costs $2 million a day to run St. Jude children's research hospital and 75% of that money has to be raised. Reporter: You can help. There's so many ways to get involved from nationwide St. Jude races to barbecues to trike-a-thon for children of all ands. We could all take a little time to give these special kids the gift of hope. I wanted to share my upcoming hall of fame milestone with these inspiring kis so we're here now with a giant live pep rally and joining me to help out in the incredible Rutgers cheerleaders for some of our St. Jude all-stars.
