It was supposed to be a peaceful outing of fall foliage in west virginia. Then, this happened. A train filled with tourists, smashing directly into a logging truck. This morning, one person is dead. Many others injured. And police are pointing fingers. Abc's tai hernandez is on the story. Good morning. Reporter: Good morning. It's hard to challenge on a train with tourists taking in the beautiful fall colors, when they were interrupted by a trash that left no one unscathed. One person lost their life. And all 66 passengers and crew mates aboard this train, packed with tourists, were injured. In a collision with a logging truck in west virginia on friday. It turned over. I was so afraid it was going to go into the river. We were on the windows. Reporter: The driver of the truck did not survive the impact, when the vehicle hit the train. The crash overturned two railcars and sent passengers flying. Two of the passenger cars were flipped over on their side and received extensive damage. It sounded like a bomb went off. I mean, I was looking at it. And this truck, loaded down with logs was come right towards me. I couldn't do nothing. Oh, god. He's going to hit us. Reporter: The train was packed with sightseers. And moments before the violent impact, were taking in the scenery, on the train ride along cheat mountain. And area so remote, it took an hour for help to arrive. Ambulances and a bus to transport them to the nearest hospital. Several of the victims are hospitalized, in critical condition. I'm surprised we didn't have more fatalities and more serious injuries. Reporter: The challenge in this crash is that the area is so remote. Locals telling abc news, they don't have cell phones because of poor service.
