First, we're going to talk about trouble in paradise for a female surfer and model charged with attempted murder. She is a caused of injuring a woman in Hawaii. Mara schiavocampo is here with more. Reporter: Officials don't know what sparked the attack. But officials say that female surfer followed the other woman home and tried to kill her with ramming her with her car first. And preparing to hit her a second time before a heroic bystander stepped in. This morning, a nearly deadly case of road rage landed this woman in the hospital and this model and competitive surfer behind bars. 30-year-old Honolulu resident, Jill Hanson, seen here advertising her line of surf attire, appears to be on the path to success. But the smiling woman in this video, allegedly followed 73-year-old Elizabeth Conklin to her home Wednesday. I drove home. And I drove into my parking garage. And I parked in my Normal parking place. And I got out. And then, all of a sudden, I woke up in an ambulance. Reporter: According to police, Hanson intentionally struck Conklin with her vehicle. He saw her in her car, getting ready to hit me again. He total saved my life. Reporter: Feeling lucky to escape with some bumps and bruises, Conklin has her own ideas about what motivated the apparent attack. She saw my car. It was the car she wanted. She followed me. She was going to kill me and get the car. Reporter: And just hours before the alleged assault, Hansen posting to Facebook that her life was falling into place. Writing, quote, I am becoming a professional. I have worked so hard to get to today. But now, her arrest record painting a much different picture. Charged with attempted murder on 1 million bail. Officials say after the bystander smashed Hansen's window, she ran away on foot, leaving her damaged car behind. She was caught a short time later. We did reach out to Hansen for comment.
