Oh, my god, oh, my god! Reporter: Watch as the carnival worker loses his footing and falls from the ferris wheel in front of terrified fairgoers in north Carolina. Fair officials say the car began to the tilt. Bystanders screaming for the two young boys inside. Oh, my god, it's a baby. Reporter: The car is is tilting at a near 90-degree angle. Officials say an employee jumped into action. Then the fall. Fortunately, the car flips back into place. The two boys inside are left swinging. Their mothers watching helplessly from the ground. That's my child! What happened? Reporter: Another employee finally frees the boys. I felt helpless. It was the scariest moment. Reporter: Overnight, those mothers reliving the ordeal. That's your babies up there. You can't do anything to protect them. You're at the the bottom, just lifeless. I thought something bad was going to happen. One of us was going to pass. I'm never going to do no more rides at the fair unless it's a bumper car. That's the only thing I might do. Reporter: So sweet. A 7-year-old and 5-year-old in the cart, okay. The employee who fell already out of the hospital. Minor injuries. Everyone is all right. The ride operator did follow proper procedures. The state has approved the ride to be safe again.
