Three three ladies changed the world in a big way in 1999. Honored to stand with all three of the most important players in soccer history probably, mia hamm, brandi chastain, julie foudy are all here. Part of that incredible 1999 world cup team that won it all and it not only made a big deal for soccer in households all over the country really and truly opened the door for everybody to love the game of soccer but made a huge difference in women's sports. Welcome, you guys, first of all, I just want to say welcome to all of you for stands and hanging out with us. I want to show just a little bit of the clip so people know we're talking about the '99 -- let's take a look and then we'll talk about it. Just a practice. Yeah. Do you remember the days when we couldn't get many people to our games. Yes. This is great. Let's stay focused because it's a bit of a circus here. Let's stay focused. Mia, how do you deal with all the hype and attention. Excuse me. I'm trying to get out of the way. What do you mean, all this? first of all, what is it like to see yourselves in that video in 1999? We won't say -- you could do the path but that was a few years ago. Let's not do the math. I'm glad we pluck our eyebrows now. Yeah. We were probably a little more polished but obviously a lot younger. Miss those days. Like really having fun, clear, just practically kids having fun at the game. Julie, let's start. You were one of the producers of the '99 -- you narrated a lot of the movie. What made you want to get everybody back together and kind of look at it again? Well, I think the message, you know, that I love about this film it's all insider footage a lot of it it, craziness, bad dancing, be forewarned, sam. Bad hair. Yes. And but the neat thing there was this love for each other, this joy, there's laughter and i think nowadays you see sometimes kids with sports and it's very serious and it's very competitive and intense and this is fun and that's what that journey was about that summer. You guys know that better than anyone else. Kids today have a lot of pressure that you guys, did you have it when you were playing the game or were you really just playing the game for the love and the fun of the game? I think we loved being together. I think we loved the game and i don't think we knew any better. It was just we were going out there to do our best to be our best so we would help our teammates be better so our team could be successful and you know we love each other on the field and I think we love and respect each other off the field even more. There was also a time when we only -- have just a few seconds left. But a big time that changed sports for women in general and celebrating the 40th anniversary. Just talk a second about that. What I love about this, it was such a conscientious group and understood there was something greater than just that moment in time and that's what makes me so proud of being with this group of women. And by the way do you have any tips for josh because he was actually going to be playing goalie against you guys. It may be that he was a little afraid and didn't want to do it but his back was out. Do you have any -- what's the tip for the back? A little core strengthening oh. Not heat and -- not that he doesn't have a strong core. 99ers. On that note we should mention our own robin roberts is an executive producer on that fantastic "nine for ix" series. Fantastic look at women's sports. I don't know that there's a bigger moment in women's sports.
