Answer: There's still a significant interest in the use of alternative medicine products for the treatment of asthma. However none of these products have been shown to be effective in asthma. We usually recommend that patients tell their physicians if they are taking alternative medicine products so that a list of medications can be in the medical record. Occasionally there are alternative medicine products that can aggravate asthma.
