Are There Foods I Eat That Might Relieve The Pain I Feel?

Question: Are There Foods I Eat That Might Relieve The Pain I Feel?

Dr. Paul Chelminski answers the question: 'Can Certain Foods Relieve My Pain?'

Answer: Food in general has no specific ability to relieve pain. But there is a very well-documented relationship between eating and mood. And we know that the vast majority of patients with chronic pain suffer from mood disorders that aggravate their pain disorders.

So anything a patient can do to improve her or his mood will very likely improve their pain as well. But this is all very individualized, and would depend on patient preferences, and probably also on cultural preferences.
