— -- Question: What is invasive lobular carcinoma?
Answer: Invasive lobular carcinoma is a special type of cancer of the breast. It's generally made up of small cells that tend to grow relatively slowly. It's often difficult to diagnose on mammography and it often doesn't make a lump. But as a general rule invasive lobular carcinoma has a relatively good prognosis as far as breast cancer goes.
