— -- Question: How accurate are mammograms? Answer: The accuracy of mammography is about 90 percent, so we find about 90 percent of breast cancers using mammograms. But that's not a hundred. So if you feel a lump in your breast, either you or your doctor, you should seek attention right away to have us do extra mammography pictures or perhaps ultrasound to evaluate that area in the breast more closely.
