— -- Question: Should I call my health care team when I have a question or concern or just wait until my next appointment?

Answer: In my opinion, patients should always feel free to call their doctors 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year, for any concerns, especially related to toxicities or unexpected side effects from chemotherapy. Your doctor can decide which side effects are really not that important and can wait for a regular office visit, and which ones really require emergency medical intervention.
