Illinois Homeowner Sets Halloween Lights to KONGOS’ ‘Come With Me Now’
Halloween light display set to KONGOS' hit, "Come With Me Now," in Illinois.
— -- It’s October, which means it’s time for awesome Halloween light displays.
This may be the greatest presentation in suburban Chicago as the singing spooky lights are sequenced to KONGOS’ hit song, “Come With Me Now.”
“It’s my crazy hobby haha,” Steve Jandick, of Naperville, Illinois, told ABC News.
Jandick and his friend, Nick Thomas, the Halloween-obsessed homeowner, labor over the project all year.
“I do the light show portion of it and Nick does all the decorations, so it’s the best of both worlds,” said Jandick, 25. “The house is actually Nick’s, but my parents live next door. I’ve been helping Nick do it for 15 years.”
Sequencing the lights to the songs takes all year, wasting no time by starting as soon as Halloween is over the previous season. The building and decorating of the home is a weekend labor of love, toiling away on the project the entire month of September.
And if you prefer a different genre of music, have no fear. The house also features light displays using music by Queen, AC/DC, Katy Perry and Michael Jackson, to name a few.
“There’s something for everybody,” Jandick explained. “We get 3 or 4,000 people that come by on the weekends right around Halloween.”
Take a look at the mischievous, well-lit lawn—if you dare.
