Meghan Markle's $185 Invictus Games dress sells out online
Markle, 36, attended the opening ceremony to support Prince Harry.
— -- Meghan Markle turned heads when she attended the opening ceremony of the 2017 Invictus Games Saturday to support her boyfriend, Prince Harry.
Markle, 36, chose a $185 dress by a Canada-based fashion brand to make her debut at her first public appearance with Harry, 33, whom she began dating last summer.
The Wilfred burgundy chiffon Beaune Dress worn by Markle to kick off the games in Toronto is now completely sold out, and only a few sizes remain in other colors.
Markle paired the dress with a matching burgundy leather jacket draped over her shoulders and a burgundy clutch.
The dress is sold by Aritzia, a Vancouver-based fashion chain for women with stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company did not respond to ABC News' request for comment.
Markle, a California native, lives in Toronto while filming the television show "Suits."
The entrepreneur and actress previously had her own fashion line at Canadian clothing chain store Reitmans. She ended the line, as well as her blog and Instagram account, earlier this year, all of which were seen as moves to lessen her public profile.
Markle's appearance at the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style event founded by Harry for wounded veterans, is viewed as another sign that an engagement could be imminent.
Markle watched the opening ceremony from the Air Canada Centre seated next to Markus Anderson, who reportedly introduced her to Harry a year ago. Harry sat several rows away with various foreign dignitaries, including First Lady Melania Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Markle recently made a splash in the fashion world when she appeared on the cover of the October 2017 issue of Vanity Fair.
The cover story, in which Markle declared her love for Harry, also featured the actress posing in a series of designer gowns and outfits.
When Markle's relationship with Harry became public, royal watchers looked to see if Markle would have an influence on the fashion world similar to the one that Harry's sister-in-law, Princess Kate, has had.
Clothing worn by Kate, 35, often sells out, while lower-cost alternatives, sometimes referred to as "Repli-Kates," are sought by fashionistas trying to emulate Kate's look on a budget.
Last December, Markle was spotted with a necklace including the initials "M" and "H" while she ran errands in Toronto. The necklace is believed to be from Los Angeles designer Maya Brenner and retails for $240.
Markle has also been seen wearing tried-and-true British brands while out and about in the U.K. Markle wore a pair of traditional Hunter boots and a waxed, cotton Barbour jacket during a visit in February to a flower stall near Harry's Kensington Palace cottage.
