Young Fans Beat NBA Players at Their Own Game
One seventh-grader sunk a 3-point shot against NBA star Russell Westbrook.
— -- Two pint-sized basketball fans are turning the tables on their favorite NBA players.
During a one-on-one game between Kyle Marick of Valley, Nebraska, and Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook, Westbrook dunked on Kyle twice, but not before the seventh-grader hit an epic winning 3-point shot, stunning a cheering crowd.
Kyle's basketball coach posted the video online and it's been trending ever since.
"So apparently one of my 7th graders beat Russell Westbrook in 1-on-1 at his camp," Jacob Padilla tweeted July 8. "Tied up at 2 buckets each, he hit a shot from halfcourt."
Westbrook proved to be a team player though, as he high-fived Kyle following the defeat.
In other footage, 10-year-old Luke Pipa faced off against Cleveland Cavaliers' star Kyrie Irving. With 24 seconds left on the clock, Luke nailed the winning shot right as the buzzer went off.
