ABC News’ “Good Morning America” won the 2nd Quarter 2016 in Total Viewers (4.767 million), based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. 2Q16 marked “GMA’s” 4th consecutive year to win the 2nd quarter. Overall, “GMA” has won the last 16 quarters in Total Viewers.

“GMA” outperformed NBC’s “Today” (4.562 million) during 2Q16 by +205,000 Total Viewers, increasing its lead from the previous quarter by +16% (vs. 176,000 for 1Q16).

“GMA” beat “CBS This Morning” during 2Q16 in Total Viewers (+29%/1.074 million), Adults 25-54 (+46%/+494,000) and Adults 18-49 (+50%/+382,000).

Week of June 20, 2016

“Good Morning America” finished as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (4.384 million) for the week of June 20, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” beat NBC’s “Today” (4.187 million) by 197,000.

Season to date, “GMA” stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating “Today” by 231,000 (4.900 million vs. 4.669 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” beat “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+27%/+936,000), Adults 25-54 (+42%/+410,000) and Adults 18-49 (+56%/+367,000).
