Cheapest Super Bowl Ticket is Now $2,700: What You Could Buy Instead
You could purchase six iPad Airs for the cost of 1 Super Bowl ticket.
— -- One day before Super Bowl 50, the cheapest ticket available for the big game is now $2,700, a Stub Hub representative told ABC News this morning.
Coveted tickets for the game have sold from $1,222 to $27,983, said Stub Hub.
But instead of paying $2,700 for one seat at Levi’s Stadium for the big game Sunday, here's what else you could spend $2,700 on.
NBA Game
Denver fans who are more into basketball than football could consider going to the Denver Nuggets game vs. the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden Sunday afternoon.
The cheapest ticket currently available is $24.75, a Stub Hub representative told ABC News today, meaning you could buy 109 of them for $2,700.
Hamilton on Broadway
If you want to check out the hit Broadway show Hamilton Sunday afternoon during the Superbowl, the cheapest ticket available is $339, Stub Hub said.
You could get seven of those tickets for one Super Bowl seat.
NYC Restaurant Week
Or take 70 friends to a New York City restaurant week dinner.
The restaurant week prix fixe dinner is $38 for an appetizer, entree and dessert.
A Super Bowl ticket would cover 71 meals.
iPad Airs
You could buy six iPad Airs, listed by Apple as $399.
A Week in Hawaii
$2,700 adds up to about a one-week stay at a Hawaii hotel, if you're at a hotel that runs a little under $400 per night.
Starbucks Drinks
You could buy 675 Starbucks lattes -- one every day for nearly two years -- assuming they're about $4 a piece.
Trip for Three to London
Or you could purchase about three round-trip flights from New York City to London.
