NFL Defensive End Ray McDonald Arrested, Accused of Violating Restraining Order
Arrest related to domestic violence and child endangerment case last month.
— -- NFL defensive end Ray McDonald was arrested in Santa Clara, California, today for violating a restraining order related to a domestic violence and child endangerment case last month.
Officers arrested McDonald without incident this afternoon, Santa Clara police said in a statement. He will be booked at the Santa Clara County Jail.
McDonald was arrested May 25 on child endangerment and domestic violence charges after officers said he "physically assaulted the victim while she was holding a baby." He was quickly released by the Chicago Bears, who had signed him to a one-year contract in late March.
McDonald previously played for the San Francisco 49ers, who had released him in December.
