— -- Top-ranked  Arizona remains undefeated on the court this season, and the Wildcats have also continued to thrive in recruiting circles, picking up a commitment from one of the nation's top players in the Class of 2015 on Friday night.

Tyler Dorsey (ESPN No. 7) is a 6-foot-4 skilled and versatile guard out of St. John Bosco, Calif. who will become the latest West Coast standout to head to Tucson.

Dorsey tweeted the news late Friday night.

Just committed to the University of Arizona #BearDown ??????

Sean Miller has managed to land the top-rated player in the state of California in each of the past four classes. It began with Grant Jerrett and Brandon Ashley in the Class of 2012, continued with Aaron Gordon and also includes Mater Dei's Stanley Johnson, the ninth-rated prospect in the country.

Dorsey is one of the most versatile guards in the country. He's a big-time scoring guard who is also able to run the point. Dorsey was recruited by most of the elite programs in the country, including Duke, UCLA, Kansas and Kentucky.

Dorsey's commitment helps ensure that Arizona will have staying power as a national power. The Wildcats will likely lose Gordon after this season, and could also lose Nick Johnson, Ashley and even big man  Kaleb Tarczewski to the NBA draft.

Miller will bring in a recruiting class next season that ranks eighth in the nation. Along with Johnson, the Wildcats have power forward Craig Victor (ESPN No. 29), point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (ESPN No. 60) and junior college combo guard Kadeem Allen.

Dorsey is Arizona's first pledge in the Class of 2015. The Wildcats are also involved with two more elite West Coast standouts: Las Vegas big man Stephen Zimmerman (ESPN No. 2) and power forward Ivan Rabb (ESPN No. 3), who attends Bishop O'Dowd High in northern California.
