    On December 1, 2011, Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, in Shanghai, broke the Guinness World Record for longest Yule log cake. Eighty chefs at the hotel spent 24 hours completing their 1,068-meter-long Yule log cake, which was made from 526 kg of fresh cream, 333 kg of chocolate, 752 organic eggs, 169 kg of cane sugar and 869 kg of wheat flour.

The current world's tiniest cat lives in Louisiana and weighs 3 pounds. Bitsy weighs in at 1.5 pounds, but is slightly longer than the current record holder.

    Eleven-year-old Fin Keleher of Utah smashed a world record by keeping 43 snails on his face for 10 seconds in 2009. It was his fourth attempt to break the world record of 38 snails. He said the snails pinched his face, but he didn't mind the slime.
  • Guiness Book Record

    Dallas residents gathered to watch giant beach balls bounce around the downtown area. The balls measure 36 feet in diameter and are more than three stories high. To break the Guinness record, the balls need to be at least 32.8 feet (10 meters) in diameter and made of real beach ball material.
