Kinect for PCs, Video Game Review: 'Marvel vs. Capcom 3'
Microsoft is set to bring its popular Kinect to PCs.
Feb. 22, 2011— -- Microsoft is set to bring its popular Kinect to PCs. The company is letting software developers create apps for Windows computers that take advantage of the controller-free system designed for the Xbox.
The first apps are scheduled to be released in late June. Microsoft sold 8 million Kinects in its first months on the market.
"Marvel vs. Capcom 3" is a classic fighting game, pitting comic-book heroes against video-game characters.
CNET's Dan Ackerman says the game is a lot of fun. "It's almost like when you were a kid and you'd say, 'Who'd win in a fight, you know, Spiderman or the Hulk?' You can actually do that in the game," he said.
"It's a fun group experience, it's not just you alone with a TV … your friends can gather around, like you used to do back in the arcade, and just take turns fighting each other, and it doesn't have to get too serious."
The game is available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
