Barnes & Noble's new Nook features e-ink technology, a touchscreen display and weighs less than 8 ounces, putting it in direct competition with Amazon's popular Kindle. The device will sell for $139. Meanwhile, Amazon is now selling a 3G version of its Kindle with ads.

Autography App

For those who love e-books but miss being able to get them autographed by their favorite authors, now there is Autography. The new app allows users to get an author's signature and then have it inserted directly into their e-book. If they take a photo with the author, they can insert that as well. Autography is compatible with several different brands of e-readers.
