One man got his hands on the $10,000 gold Apple Watch Edition and did the unthinkable -- obliterating the device by smashing it with two powerful magnets, according to a YouTube video.

With the coveted Apple Watch Edition at the center of a table, user TechRax pushed magnets on either side of the watch together using wooden poles.

Finally, the attraction was so strong that magnets slammed together, crushing the watch from both sides.

Sparks and smoke are seen on video in the seconds after the watch was obliterated.

The end result: The luxury watch's screen was completely smashed, while the gold had very few scratches, according to TechRax. Despite the extreme conditions, the watch appeared to still be charging at the end of the video.

The TechRax YouTube channel often puts technology through torture tests, including baking an iPhone 6 inside a turkey for four hours.
