Should Regional Airline Safety be Improved?
ABC News is looking to chat with current pilots about safety in the skies.
Feb. 1, 2010— -- ABC News is seeking opinions from regional airline pilots.
The National Transportation Safety Board on Tuesday will issue its final report on the Colgan Air crash in Buffalo, N.Y. At the time of the crash concerns were raised about experience, training, fatigue and pay for regional pilots. We got e-mails from hundreds of regional pilots echoing those concerns and telling us their stories.
Now, one year later, has anything changed? Is the world in whichyou operate any different because of the Colgan Air accident? Have there been any safety improvements? If so: what has changed? If not: what needs to change?
