Seattle-Area Town Bans Cheese Before NFL Gameday
Cityhall bans cheese as Seattle Seahawks take on Greenbay Packers on Sunday.
— -- A Seattle-area town showed their team pride by banning all cheese from city hall before the NFC championship game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.
The city hall manager of Bainbridge Island, near Seattle, issued the tongue-in-cheek executive order this week, declaring a certain kind of dairy product to be off limits from city hall on the Friday before the big game.
"Fans of the Green Bay Packers are frequently seen wearing obnoxious wedge-shaped foam hats painted yellow,"read a portion of the order. "Due to the relationship between the Green Bay Packers, their fans, and cheese, the possession of and/or consumption of cheese or cheese flavored products shall be banned in Bainbridge Island City Hall."
There's no word if the Green Bay city hall has retaliated by banning, say, coffee from Seattle-based Starbucks before the big game.
