US Soccer Team Beats China 1-0 to Advance to Semifinals of Women's World Cup

The team will now face Germany on June 30.

— -- The U.S. Women's National Team defeated China Friday night to move on to the semifinals of the Women's World cup.

Carli Lloyd scored a goal in the 51st minute, giving goaltender Hope Solo her fourth straight shutout, according to the Associated Press.

The second-ranked team is set to face Germany on June 30.
