Transcript for Denver County Fair Adds Pot Pavilion
It's an old fashioned American county fair with prizes going to the best apple pie best jam. And best pop brownie. The Denver county fair is adding marijuana themed contest this year. In recognition of Colorado's landmark legalization of the drug although no actual pop will be allowed on the premises prizes will be awarded for plants. Bombs snacks and even joint rolling but they're using oregano instead of the real stuff. Fair organizers say they're just celebrating another great local product where Denver count -- in pot is legal in Denver county. It's yet another weird in agricultural crop. There's been some minor backlash to the change but the response has been largely supportive organizers -- all pot related activities will be held in a separate area. Away from kids.
