Woman Charged With Murder in NYC Subway Push

The incident happened at Times Square around 1:20 p.m., police said.

— -- A woman was killed when another woman pushed her in front of an oncoming New York City subway train today, the New York Police Department said.

The suspect, who was charged with murder, according the ABC-owned station WABC, allegedly pushed the victim in front of a southbound 1 train as it was entering the Times Square station around 1:20 p.m., police said. People on the platform saw the incident and flagged down police.

The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, police said.

The suspect's name has yet to be made public.

Police said numerous witnesses are being interviewed. Police said they are looking for video of the incident.
